Corona renderer 5 for sketchup1/17/2024 ![]() ![]() Add to that tools to very quickly convert scenes/materials/cameras to Corona from Vray or other engines, the fact that it's pretty easy to use, and you have something people can use in matters of minutes. So when Corona comes up, with really good integration, people can quickly switch to it because it feels very familiar. I guess this is due to the fact that it is first a studio application, but this is really confusing for 3Dsmax users when they try Thea. As for 3Dsmax, it offers a framework for rendering, but it feels to the user that Thea barely takes advantage of it. That's alright, Thea's integration is nice (a bit confusing at first, but in the end as good as any other). Each engine has to come up with its own interface. But in Sketchup, there is no framework for rendering. They nailed it, it is very well integrated, way better than Thea.ĭon't get me wrong, I really like Thea Studio and in Sketchup. And they made one of their top priority to be the tight integration with the software. This is the primary software on which Corona was integrated. The most used software in archviz is 3dsmax, that's a fact. Have you guys tested Corona? I have, and it's pretty good. ![]()
